Our Library supports the Institute’s learning and teaching, research, innovation, and engagement by providing resources and professional expertise to its users.
The library is intentionally designed to be a ‘working library’. That is, a collection of texts on a given subject, for the purpose of an academic or professional work. However, since the Institute focuses on the broader topics of Renaissance thinking, human flourishing and cross-disciplinary reflection, its 11,000 volumes increasingly reflects a broader range of holistic interests.
With over 90% of its titles in English, QVI’s library is rare in the Austrian Alps. It is that feature together with the scope of its collection that make the QVI library a unique library for a unique community of researchers.
The library is accessible free of charge by appointment Monday through Friday from 9.00 to 12.00 and from 14.00 to 17.30. Books must be consulted on the premises. For inquiries and to book access please email us at
